Key Dates for Westbrook Little League 2023 Season

Please be informed of some key dates regarding the season 2023 Westbrook Little League Season.

Winter Clinics: Our 2023 Winter Clinics will be at the HomeField Facility in Essex, CT. The Clinics will start on Sunday, February 26th. The remaining five clinics will take place on Saturday's (3/4, 3/11, 3/18/, 3/25, 4/1). More information will follow for the players who have already signed up for the clinics.

Assessment Day: If you are not participating in the Winter Clinics, please make plans to attend our Skills Assessment Day on Sunday, March 19th from 1-4 PM. This will give Westbrook Little League Coaches a chance to evaluate a players ability ensuring that they are assigned to the proper level of play ahead of the season.

Coaches Training: We are partnering with Westbrook Ambulance again on April 1st to provide first aid training for our coaches and other league approved volunteers. The following day on April 2nd, coach Bill Buscetto, who runs the popular "Batter Up" summer baseball camp will provide be at Ted Lane to work with our coaches on baseball fundamentals and effective ways to communicate with players of all skill levels.

Practices: Shortly after assessment day, players will be assigned to teams, with practices beginning on or around Monday April 3rd.

Opening Day will be at Ted Lane Field on Saturday April 22nd. We will have an on-field opening ceremony in the morning, followed shortly after by the first baseball and softball games of the season for many of our teams. Team photos will be taken by SLB Photography just prior to the opening ceremonies.

All-Star Information (If applicable): If your player is ages 8 and older, they may qualify and be selected for one of our Westbrook Little League All-Star teams. These teams will be selected by League Officials and Coaches near the end of the regular season. Practices will start for All-Stars following the regular season, with games being played at the District level in the window of dates below.

Baseball – June 23 – July 12
Softball – June 16 – June 29
